Bastet

Something private for a change. Last GenCon I bought a print which showed Anubis in a pretty nice intrepretation. For quite a while now I longed to do a counterpart for it myself to put them on my wall right beside each other. Bastet and Anubis. Mother and son. Life and death.

Because there is a theory that Sekhmet and Bastet where once a single goddess her hands are quite bloody and I did put a weapon in her hands. I like this interpretation most because living means fighting for it. "Survival of the fittest". I'm not into the idea of peaceful gods of life.
