Love Letter to Laika

Contributed to Laika, the space dog. To honor her (not so willingly) sacrifice I imagined her as the constallation Canis Major. Sirius, the brightest star within this galaxy, shining at her chest. Cornflowers, which you see below, are sometimes included in funeral flower arrangements due to their symbolism. They represent devotion, faithfulness, and eternal love. During World War I and World War II, the cornflower became a symbol of war victims which Laika in my opinion absolutely is - a victim to the cold war.
